Welcome to the Minnesota Career Pathways website.
This website was created to help Minnesota adult students create career and training plans that will prepare them for a fulfilling career.
We prepare high school students, college students, and working adults to enter the workforce by providing them with both the academic and technical skills needed to be successful. We accomplish this by partnering with business and industry leaders, providing professional development to teachers and faculty, and connecting students to online career and college resources through our connections to local consortia.
We are Minnesota Career and Technical Education. We are represented by both the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system and the Minnesota Department of Education. Our strong partnership enables us to pool our resources and efforts to provide Minnesotans with the best possible path to academic and career success.
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is comprised of 31 institutions, including 24 two-year colleges and seven state universities. It is the largest single provider of higher education in the state of Minnesota. Overall, the system produces about 33,500 graduates each year. For more information, visit www.minnstate.edu/system/cte/.
The Minnesota Department of Education serves a wide range of customers: approximately 850,000 K-12 students and their families; 118,000 young children participating in a variety of early learning programs including Head Start and ECFE; 82,000 adult learners participating in adult education programs including GED and citizenship programs; Minnesota's 339 school districts and over 52,000 licensed teachers.
